Boys...

I've spent a lot of time this weekend thinking about the special boys in my life and it's really made me stop and think about how very blessed I am. As we celebrated Thanksgiving this year I took the time to stop and reflect on just what all I was Thankful for. No, we don't have a mansion on a hilltop & we don't have a bank roll of money. But what we do have is a home full of love & laughter, warm beds to lay our healthy bodies in, a roof over our head and food on our table. To me, that's worth more than all the money and materialistic things in the world! Now as we approach Christmas I've even been thinking more about the true meaning of love & happiness and I thank God each & every day for blessing me with three amazing boys and now another to come! It made me very sad at first because Ronnie wanted a baby girl so bad, but I know that wasn't part of Gods plan. I had a gut feeling from day one that I was carrying a baby boy, I can't explain it...just a feeling and we are all very excited. As I watched the boys laughing, playing & carrying on this weekend I just kept picturing another baby boy and it made me warm & fuzzy all over! I ran across this ad in a parenting magazine the other day, and it really made me stop & think about how precious each minute with my loved ones is & how I never want to take another second with them for granted! The article is titled "Promises To Your New Baby", but I think it should be "Promises To Your Children...Each & Every One of Them"!!!
1. We will bring you home from the hospital in a safe rear-facing infant car seat.
2. It's impossible to spoil a baby, so we will pick you up & comfort you every time you cry of fuss.
3. We will make sure to take you to all of your well-baby visits.
4. We will be sure you sleep on your back (that's the best position) in a safe crib with no blankets or pillows.
5. I know your dad and I are your favorite toys, so every day we'll play with you, talk to you, and read to you, even though you're still very tiny.
6. We'll bring you up with a strong sense of family and always find time to spend together.
7. We will set limits and be consistent so you'll know what is expected of you.
8. We will baby proof the house, especially during this hectic holiday season, so you'll have plenty of room where you can safely explore and learn about the world around you.
9. We will try to get out of the house every day so you can experience the sunshine & fresh air and we'll always stop & smell the flowers.
10. I will make time for myself so I can be a more relaxed & happy mom.
These promises can be adjusted to fit children of all ages, and I'm going to try my best to stop sweating the small stuff & focus more on making lifetime memories with each and every one of my "boys"! I had a wonderful weekend and I look forward to many more fun-filled days of laughter, love & memories!!
I Love My Boys!

Elliott

Corey & Cody dressed up daddy's bucks last night! The boys thought it was pretty funny and were excited about the antlers they left for them. Well, it didn't take them long to break them because as you know..."boys will be boys" but as usual they found laughter & insight to their destruction! They started calling each other "Elliott" from the Disney movie Open Season! They are too funny!!! Ha! Ha! Ha!
"ELLIOTT"...he kept saying!
Big Elliott & Little Elliott...
Silly Boys!!!
Aren't they cute!!!

Little Buddies

Wyatt has adopted these two munchkins as his official "Little Buddies"! He asks me every single day if the "boys" are coming over and he loves play time with them when they are here! It makes me so happy to see the way he loves them and is so protective of them! He also thinks it so cool that his "baby cowboy hat" fits them! Easton had just woke up from a nap, so he wasn't big on playing "cowboys" Ha!

Farmer John Bowdrie

Is this not the cutest little man ever...?!?!? I took a few snapshots of this little man during Thanksgiving dinner at Jean Jean's. I can't believe he's already almost a year old! We all love a Little Man in overalls...
